OBSERVATION, On an EVENING.

Sweet and refreshing are the dews,
That deck the ev'ning shade;
Sweet are the winds that sweep the plains,
And whisper through the glade.
We faint beneath the sultry sun,
But when the day is o'er,
We gladly meet the ev'ning shade,
And think of toil no more.
